My fellow Montanans
I want to thank each one of you for your support, your contributions, and your votes. My success in the primary election on June 5th would not have been possible without your belief in me and my desire to improve the justice system in this state.
To my esteemed opponents and their supporters, thank you for your commitment to justice and our legal system.
I have traveled thousands of miles across Montana throughout this campaign. It has been a privilege to visit
with each of you, attend your functions, march in your parades, and share my ideas and desires for the Montana Supreme Court.
I believe that this is a very important race for the Court. Unlike the other races for statewide offices, it is difficult to get the general public interested in a judicial election even though the person elected will serve an eight-year term on a very important branch of our government. Those of us running for this position cannot promise we can or will do anything, if elected, other than to improve our system of justice in this state. Montana Supreme Court Justices must set aside their own opinions and decide cases impartially, similar to people who are chosen to serve on a jury.
Our justice system can be improved by electing an individual who understands all aspects of the law and is committed to keeping justice fair and impartial for all Montanans. I can accomplish this goal. I believe in the law and that everyone has the right to justice and that justice, in the end, is what’s fair, what’s right, and what’s just..
I would appreciate your continued support in the General Election.
Thank you again.
